I am thinking of getting this 94 royale and having it painted.

I know painting is usually considered a waste of money but when the car is cheap and runs and has 101K I could almost justify it.

Is anyone knowledgable about certain brands or processes involed with repainting a car?

What should I ask the detail shop?
What sort of paints are best?
What about clearcoating?

Whats a fair price for an OEM look alike paint job?

1st off DON`T GO TO MACCO!!!!
2nd go to a shop that does custom work you will get a better job out of a custom body man/painter trust me i know because i am one
i have been using ppg for 10 plus yr`s and ppg has come along way and to me is the best and easiest system to use
but........this is not cheap at all your looking at 3,000 to maybe 5,000 for a complete paint job
but you get what ya pay for
you want cheap your going to get a cheap lookin paint job
and shitty body work
suggestion pay the money and have a great looking car
