| A full tune-up would be the first thing. Also, if you can pull any codes and correct them that would help. After that is done, post back and we can go from there. |

Hi speedy266, all,

To quote the old saying: "Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go?"
Didn't we already advise you to investigate a change in rear end ratios?

| Torque in the 400's, the cheapest way is a 455 LOL. Actually, I know that would be difficult in a ciera to do, but not impossible. That might be hard with a V-6 without turbo charging or some kind of expensive power adders. If you got 400 + torque from your engine, you wold be looking at some serious upgrades to your fwd drivetrain to handle it. Anybody know what torque the v-6 engine produce? I am like 88 coupe, old school rwd is more down my line. :D |

| Add a home built RAM AIR system... If you do it right, on the hiway you might get an extra HP or two... :-) |

I know there will be serious modifications to just about everything to handle and work with that much torque. Supercharging will help greatly to boost hp and torque, its 195ft-lbs stock. 205 ft-lbs needed, once the engine gets rebuilt again with high strength parts and high tensile bolts raising psi will help me out, new pump and bigger injectors to compensate the fuel. Still wondering if i should replace my exhaust manifolds with stock ones from gm or get custom welded headers, the custom headers would probably be a better idea to get all that extra air out faster, better flow design, bigger diameter.
Chip
Ported heads
Ported intake manifold
lighter stronger valves and valve springs to match head
supercharger
intercooled
255litres/h pump
havent decided about the injector size id need
adjustable FPR
Tranny will get rebuilt before the hp and torque start adding up
stock tranny cooler into the rad, plus already have a another one
oil cooler
increase exhaust diameter to 2.75" maybe 3"
no cat
high flow muffler
accel 300+ ignition
bored throttle body
lightweight high capacity aluminum rad
list goes on....
far and expensive goal, but i do plan to achieve it one day |
