My engine has been out since December. Seems like forever.
I finally had a chance to install it and the transmission today. I upgraded my torque converter in the process to a Coan maximum performance 3000 RPM stall unit.
While it was out I dropped the headers off at Jet Hot to be coated. I just have to install a few accessories and breakin the new cam and get it back on the road.
The new custom valve covers fit perfect.
Forgive the quality of the photos. They were taken at night.

John, very nice, as usual. You always seem to think things out and put your best effort into what is done to your car. It definitely makes it one-of-a-kind. Are those grommets for the v/c breathers stock or just generic replacements? They look new. Now you need to do something about that brake master cylinder :x . Did you mention your valvetrain components earlier, specifically what rocker setup is under those valve covers?
Again, nice work. |

Haha...funny, I was thinking the exact same thing about the master cylinder.

Hi blonzz, hello all,
Glad to see it will be ready for Scottsdale. With a little luck I'll be there to check it out in person.
I'll probably take my El Camino as it's the best road car in my fleet.
Regards, Norm |
