Has a blown trans. unfortunaly it is the 2.97 ratio so yeah working on that. Also needs new rear main seal. This is done when the trans is out.
Anyone have any information or pics of the L67 LSS version for '95?
260 lbs of you know what in a fairly light car.
168K, make an offer....thinking about something small...worth it????? |

Quote: 1995 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight/Regency: To spur interest in its new Eighty Eight, a revised standard engine is added, along with a supercharged V6 as an option. The new engine is a reengineered version of the previous 3.8-liter V6, now called the Series II 3800 V6. It delivers 205 horsepower--35 more than before--and 230 pound-feet torque, up 5 from last year's version. Also, a new 225-horsepower supercharged version is an available option for the sporty LSS model.
Sounds like a nice little project car. Is the body in good condition? I would say go for it because a lot of us here know how long these 3.8s can last... :D

It HAS been abused obviously but how many 10 year old cars havent.... Trans are running minimum 800 bucks or so + install which is looking like WAY TOO MUCH FUN...WAIT NO. . I am waiting till tomorrow to get in touch with the buyer to check it out. (i read about the car on another olds forum, and they live in the same area)
Apparently the motor was leaking 2 quarts a week so could be in a little trouble there but hell if it is cheap enough I will just strip out a bunch of parts and drop it off at the wrecker. When the S1 main seals go it can get bad quick but It sounds like she kept an eye on it.
2nd owner so more to come as it happens if it happens
I am tring to find some pics of the engine bay though if anyone knows of any pics of a 95 w/Eaton M62 LSS. |

| 225HP 275ft-lbs some sweet numbers, 3429lbs isnt the greatest. Im sure you can find some ways to lighten it up and get more power to the ground. |

Sold to me for less than the cost of the extra supercharger which was included.
It starts great and runs like new and is in MINT condition for the miles. Quite the car minus the blown tranny and leaking rear main seal along with the dent in the trunk lid.
Not sure what is going to happen with it. Looks like a tranny will cost 750 minimum alone out of another junked car. 12 hours or so of labor plus rebuilding the pull + the cost of a new torque converter will add up but I might attempt it.
Nice LSS though, leather interior, dual power seats, power mirrors, compass in rear view, Dual Zone Climate control with passenger door controls, Traction Control (on/off switch too), Full Gauges, F41 Sport Suspension, 225/60/16s, and it was a 2 owner car all for the cost of 5 tanks of gas. Well spent if I might say.
So anyway, trying to find SOMEONE that will fix this car up to new for under $1500 but not having much luck yet.
BTW speedy this car is not quite as fast as the series II's but still good enough to get by.
heres a video I saw of a somewhat modded Series II:

The LSS should run mid 14s with very minimal help considering the bonnevilles have a slightly heavier body kit. |

NICE! me and Al will be looking for a similar car to yank the roller rocker 3800 S1 heads off a Jyard car (93-95 only) along with the intake and doing a magnavox to delco II ignition module/coils conversion.
good luck with the tranny!
you could swap the engine/stuff into your 94 if ya have to LOL

Yep, works now...looks pretty nice!
Definately will be able to make some good money off the spare supercharger. Why was it included anyways? Just had one laying around? :?
