Hey everyone. Just signed up, thought I'd introduce myself. I'm from Ontario, Canada, and just picked up a 88 delta 88 royale about a month ago. It's not on the road yet, as needs a head gasket change, and it's too cold to get that done here still. hehe.

I'll post some pics eventually, just some rust along the bottom lines starting to show. The previous owner had it painted 4 years ago, and when eh brought it to the shop, did EVERYTHING that they told him (they told him to get a new car, thats why he sold this one. Labour to change the head gasket was like 1800 CDN)

I'm planning to tint the windows, make a cold air intake (can anyone give me some tips on this? Does the MAF have any problems with a modified intake? Experience?) transfer all my stereo stuff and PA out of my current car, a '85 Pontiac Bonneville, and possibly lower it just a couple inches. (tips on this? what method did you use?)

Anyway, Hope you guys can give me some good ideas and help. My dad is a member of a maxima board, and the members there are extremely helpful. Hopefully it'll be like that here!

Have a good one everyone.

Hello!
Welcome to The Oldsmobile Connection.
It would help if you separated your questions into separate topics.

There is a member here (88delta88), who has a 1988 Delta 88 Royale and he also lives in Canada. He has a custom air intake on his 3.8. Use the search feature too as I believe there is a topic on this somewhere.

Thank's for the link Brando, I pretty much went through all the boards and found that one too. It was pretty helpful. I came across 88delta88's car on cardomain just after I bought mine, very cool that he is here also.

Thanks for the welcome.

hello capo... my ears are burning... Making a CAI? Send me a PM for lots of details...

Also, there was a whole topic on construction of the CAI. It works VERY well with the VIN 3 maf, as long as you dont forget to include the intake temp sensor from the stock airbox into your new design.

Welcome to the site!!!
