So I was looking at some cool pictures of an Intrigue and it turned out to be a special vehicle team-type of car called the Intrigue OSV. I had a few sources say that it was a V8 and another say it was a V6. None the less, it was supercharged or something which also helped out with the color-matched body kit as well. It looked very cool, but from what I know it was only ever a concept.

Questions:
1. Was this RWD?
2. What was the reason for not putting this into production?
3. And, if very determined, could I make an OSV of my own? What would it require?

Hope you can help me out more than just an hour or so of straight Google-ing...

As always,
Thanks!

Yes, you could make your own OSV...kind of. You could try and get a kit custom made to "look" like the OSV, but probably wouldn't be exact and would cost some big bucks. As for the engine, could put an L67 in it, but that's not a DOHC V6, but it IS supercharged and larger (3800).

BTW, according to those specs, they planned to supercharge the 3.5L "Shortstar". :-k

What is that not very likely? I never see smaller engines having superchargers; they always get turbos.

No...it would have been cool if it actually happened...the OSV was all just a concept.

Hi Shawn, Brando, hello All,

For the record: a turbo is a supercharger.

As long as I'm here:
A tranny is a she that used to be a he.
Cutty is a brand of Scotch whiskey or the ship it was named after.
A Cutlass is a sword or an Oldsmobile.

Regards, Norm
