Turbocharged400sbc talking about his rear sway bar got me thinking about my car. I would LOVE to stick a sway bar on the rear suspension. I know there are sway bars on the FE3 suspension packages, but I dont have that.

Can I go to the wreckers and get a sway bar that will bolt on? Or maybe require minimal welding and/or drilling holes in the vehicle?

I think it would make a hell of a difference.

Is there anyone out there driving an older style delta and have retro-fitted a strut tower brace? Does it make a difference in overall handling and what-not? I'd like to do that at some point aswell, it wouldnt be too tough to bolt on.

make sure you try to find a H-Body (bonneville ssei/olds lss) with the F41 suspension since they have thicker 21mm sway bars. They had the 18mm in the FEx

look for a 92-99 body.

Yes there are people driving bonnies/lesabres with strut braces.

From my 87 olds 98 to my 94 88 with the thicker rear sway and strut tower bar it is amazing handling for a grandma-marketed car.

Yeah the stock Trofeo front sway bar was a little bigger than an inch in diameter.....and it's now in the back of the 442! corners like she's on rails!

Good luck with the sway bar! J-yards....a gearheads best friend!

yeah the trofeos should be in the 32mm range.....that is up front.

He needs a rear sway bar which should be no problem if you can find the brackets on ANY H-BODY car in the junkyard.
