I was just wondering if anyone knows of any exceptional stuff that can get the black junk they use to stick on badges. In this case, I ripped off my Delta88 badges for a smoother look... though, that look won't be had until I can get rid of all that glue. I have tried automotive acetone, some turtle wax bug splat and sap remover, and this stuff called goo gone, all with minimum success.

I also tried heating it up with a hair dryer, but that didn't seem to have any effect at all.

Anyone have any tips/tricks they they use or have heard of?

Thanks in advance.

Acetone didn't do it??When I bought my Hurst the back window was busted out and the guy used duct tape to put plastic on to cover it. I soaked paper towels in naptha (lighter fluid) and let them just soak for a
bit and when the stuff softened up I used a soft plastic sqeegee that I use to apply decals to gently scrape the stuff off. Sometimes two or three times to get it all, I realize this will be harder on the sides, but hopefully it will help.

I was thinking about naptha also, I've got enough of it around here. I used to, semi still do, collect Zippo's so that explains that.

Was wondering though, would it be rather harsh and have an affect on the paint/clear coat?

Try 3M Adhesive cleaner. Works really well on just about everything.
