Black is definitely tough, requires more prep time, resulting in more money (because black isn't your original color)
I'd recommend staying with your original color, it will be less expensive and will probably turn out looking better in the long run.
but that's just me, it's your car.
Go to some body/paint shops and get some price quotes.. just remember, you usually get what you pay for. |

maaco has a 100 dollar special? damn, I wish canada had paint shops like that...
quite a few of my friends travel a few hours to montana, or even down to spokane to get thier cars painted, and one of my friends gets all his rims, and custom parts out of spokane aswell. I just dont have the motivation to drive that long to get things done! |

I've never had anything painted at maaco (and probably never will) but I've heard that those 100 dollar specials usually turn into much more money, because they charge extra for everything from labor to sandpaper, so it may turn out to be almost as expensive as if you brought it to a regular ol' body shop. Don't forget to read the fine print. |
