|
|
| I got some fans outa another car, and I would like some information on how the best way to install them would be, Would just putting a speed control modual in there be enough? Its a drag strip application, and now that i got a two vehical, and a trailer lined up, its an only drag strip app car, that if i want to go burn the tires down mainstreet i can. Just so u knowwhat im doing. |

Do you want them to come on automatically when the engine reaches a certain temp? or do you want to turn them on manually when you know you're going to need them?
If you want manual, just wire them to a relay and put a switch in the car.
If you want automatic, I was able to find a nice little kit at my local parts store, has a relay that will kick the fans on once the radiator reaches a specific temp.
Not sure what the "speed control" thing is that you have... does it turn the fans on at a lower speed, then make them go faster as the temp goes up? |

| i know its a drag strip application, and wont be used in daily driving, but still, you should not rely on your self and your temp guage to turn on the fans. Make it dummy proof, because disaster can and does strike when you least expect it... Even if the dummy system is set quite hot with a manual switch aswell, it could switch itself on and avoid a meltdown. |

there like 13 1/2 (or so) inches each,
they'll fit barly, wait let me re-word that, they'll fit very snug. Which is good, they cover the whole radiator. my factory fan was 18 inches. |
