New to the forum, I hope i am in the right section. Looking to see if there are any tricks, mods, performance chips, etc that can enhance the performance of my 1995 olds Lss. It has the 3800 v6 supercharged. It seems that I have the 225 horse model. Is there any way to tell if it is a series I or Series II engine with the older blower on it?

Oh there's plenty of go fast parts out there...some of the most bang for the buck jobs have an aftermarket turbocharger setup installed and can easily produce 400FWHP
I would bet that you have the SII 3800 the quick way to tell is look at the exhaust manifolds (the front one you can see with just the hood poped)
if the spacing between the plugs and the manifold ports then its a SII if the manifold is uneven and you see two plugs closer together than the other then its more than likely a SI
i have pics in this thread that may be of some use...SI/SII HYBRID
hope that helps ya identify the engine (8th digit of the VIN works too)
I have looked at more than a few of the Turbo kits out there and the Cartunning setup looks like one of the better units, though unless they make one specifically for your car, modifications may be neccesary to the Down pipe etc.
other sites for 3800 SII performance parts include:
DigitalHP
Intense
ZZ Performance (ZZP)
Cartuning
PFYC
and plenty others....
3800Pro.com is a tech board owned by Intense
lots of good SII info there...and a few Regal GS's and i think Bonnie SSEi owners (sister car to yours chassis wise)
I hope i at least helped you with identifying your 3800

Thank you for your help. I have never owned a olds before (rented a few) but I have to tell you I was pleasantly surprised with this one. This car is quick for a bigger car. I would really just be happy if there was a way I could get rid of the rev limiter somehow. This thing has enough power (for now lol). I would like to be able to go faster than the 110mph cutoff. Its like pinching your nose and trying to run the 100yd dash. Makes no sense to me.

No problem, glad i could.
the revlimiter (actually its a speed limiter that cuts engine output) can be removed with either a chip/or a reflashed PCM...though you may have to change to a newer (96+) PCM for reflash capabilities.
but unless you have tires that far excced the factory tire speed rating (108-110mph) i wouldnt mess with the speed limiter.
Have fun with your car!

Where can I find a chip. I have looked but can't find any for a 1995. Or where can you go to get "flashed"?

GMtuners/Sinister probably has the best leg up on the older PCM's.

You have a 225hp series one..s2 came in 96 guys.
also no flashign for the Hybrid 94/95 l67s sorry, well some people have on other forums but the results were
best thing you can do is throw on a CAI and high flow cat/exhaust and a SLIGHTLY smaller pulley as to not cause any KR
I had that same car, green.... |

How did you like the car when you had it Hans? I did try the Sinister web site and according to them they can do it. But all I really want is the rev limiter taken off so it can go faster than 110mph.

I was wondering about that myself (boost gauge). My other car is a 1990 Mercury cougar xr7 3.8 liter v6 supercharged, and it has a boost guage. It would be nice if the Lss had one. But the car seems to have just about everything else.
