Welcome to the site,
I'd have to agree with Brando, that Bravada is mint! Is that one of the 500 collectors editions made? I've never seen one close up before

Unfortunately it is not a final 500. It is one of the last of its kind. The final 500's came ONLY in a deep cherry metallic. Unseccessful attempts were made to locate a Final 500, I do not believe Alberta even got a final 500 Bravada. Word on the street is there is a final 500 Aurora in the area.
Nonetheless this SUV is a beauty. Has every option minus a few things. It is missing the air ride suspension, DVD Navigation (what a waste of money) and digital guages (Im not sure if they were available). I will get some interior pics. The inside is tan leather incase you couldn't see from the pics |

Nice collection! The last Bravada was the best of the GM midsize 'utes, in my opinion. Better even than the new Saab 9-7 that seems to be the most logical replacement for the Olds model.
Also, glad to see an International Series still floating around! I always thought those were the picks of the early-90s Olds litter.
Final 500 Oldsmobiles can be hard to locate. At one time, my local (Charleston, WV) dealer had three Final 500 Aleros, though they didn't get any other F500 models to my knowledge. I know three or four F500 Aurora owners thru ACNA, and have seen several F500 Intrigues, Aleros, and Auroras. Never even spotted a Collector's Bravada or Silhouette, however. If you spot your local one, be sure to snap a pic! :D
Welcome aboard. |

Thanks again!
In comparison to the Envoy or T/B - It seems like a completely different vehicle. Maybe because it's optioned out. I love the feeling of being king of the road in that car. Feels like you are riding 20+ feet above ground.
I am crazy for this international. I've replaced the engine with a rebuild. Replaced all the electrical inside the engine bay. All new gaskets. Recently put Traction T/A's (all 4) on her. She rides like a bentley. But I still have tons of work ahead of me for this thing. I'm thinking for its 15th birthday a new paint job (to match the final 500's Deep Cherry Red).
MBowen574: I love your Aurora. That will definately be a future purchase for me. |

Haha... You sound like me. 1996 Galant. Millions of problems. Replacement parts, repairs, and new parts out the wazoo. Lost cause, right? Low resale, unloved by almost everyone, but we love 'em.
Thanks for the Aurora compliments. It's a helluva car. It's my moms really, but I drive it as much as possible. It's addicting. Beautiful car, beautiful engine. Too bad it all had to end so early.
Anyways, have a good evening. :D |
