Hello everyone,

For the last three weeks, TOC server has sometimes been extremely slow to respond or hasn't responded at all. Mainly, it's been "URL not found" or URL doesn't answer" messages.

Anytime there was a problem, I'd just come back later and it was good.

Today it was more persistent. Most of this afternoon/evening, it was either normal or it would take as much as five minutes to load a page, mostly the latter. Not fun when you use the review button as much as I do.

No problems with any other site.

My ADSL connection always checks out between 650 and 700k on a 768k contract.

Does it on all 5 machines with 98SE, ME, or XP Pro using IE5.5, IE 6, FF 1.07, or Opera 8.5.

Any ideas? Anyone else seen what I've been seeing?

Right now, everything is working perfectly.

Regards, Norm

Yes... I've noticed the same exact symptoms you've described. Not sure what's going on.

Yea...you get what you pay for I guess...

Not even getting the uptime that they stated on the website.

Quote: 99.95% UPTIME per month

All our shared hosting servers have an average of 99.95% uptime per month. This uptime figure can go up and down as it depends on various factors. Please note that this uptime figure is not guaranteed by a service level agreement as is in the case of Intense Hosting plan. This figure however is considered top notch in the Industry. So relax and order!

This stuff really pisses me off....I pay more for hosting, thinking it will be better...when the cheaper host had better reliability

These guys won't be getting my money again....still a lot of time left with them though...so I'll just have to complain. :argue:

Thought that was it, but needed to know it wasn't a fluke on my end.

Except for your server choices, you've been doing a first rate job. I can live with it (server) until you can change.

Hi Brandon, all,

Didn't check your link before I posted.

OK, looks like extremely slow isn't the same as down, so, that means, we had excellent service yesterday.

I'm finished server bashing now,

Regards, Norm, Norm.

yea...it's not acceptable though....seems the only way to get things done right is to do them yourself...

Ahh...dreams of fully insulated room, A/C, back-up generator, dual T1 connections (redundant), redundant power supplies, quad xeon server....

I'm looking through hosts...seems I made this host go bad, since their service used to be good...
