Hi:
Earlier this week I turned in my 2002 Corolla (and got out from under an expensive lease) and purchased a 1989 Cutlass Ciera International from a friend of my father's. It belonged to his late wife (and his father, before that) and had been sitting in his driveway for about a year. It had 82,567 miles on it. The engine is a v6 3.3L that's in pretty good shape, the exterior is kind of dull, doors are a little stiff, and there's a slight musty smell inside.
After having it just a few days, my wife and I love it. It rides smoother than anything I have driven in years. Gas mileage is okay so far. Wife and I are making plans to install a new stereo system. It'll eventually need a new belt and new hoses, probably a new radiator as well (which I've already priced), a good tune up, and a few other cosmetic improvements.
Oh, yeah - I paid only $500 for it.
Nice to meet everyone here. |

Thanks for the welcome, guys. Wow! Am I the oldest person here? Surely not.
85Cieraholiday: I'm kinda new to the whole Olds thing, so please tell me: is my Cutlass a rare model? Or is it rare that I got one with such low mileage? |
