Hi there, I'm currently driving a 98 Bravada, w/ the standard 4.3 L Vortec 4300 V6. I was looking into two options to get more power...the first is adding on a supercharger (which it appears the supercharger would cost me about $3k). The other is something I'm just now reading up about, doing a V8 conversion. I see this mostly written about S10 pickups, but it appears they are mechanically the same vehicles (aside from SmarTrack). I have no idea how much a project like this would cost, plus I only have about 85k miles on my V6.....
So I would greatly appreciate ANY and ALL suggestions on the subject. Thanks!! |

You'll find considerably more information about your Chev engine on a Chev site.
Re: your V8 conversion. There are some legal issues they should make you aware of. Make sure you ask about them.
