Dear all,
Just purchased a 1971 Cutlass S, in original trim, ex Southern California so paint is a bit faded and seats, carpets have some wear but everything else is ok. Drives well and has had only 3 owners, all original bill of sale is there along with owners manual, window price list and all the normal paperwork. Should take delivery by end of April, has to be registered, taxed and MOT tested for the UK first.
As this will be a running car with gradual refurbishment I would like to hear from anyone out there who has been in the same situation.

Not this time. I'm guessing it's a UK version of a Vehicle inspection, emissions test, or both.

The UK's version of mechanical and emissions test.
