I am sorry, but I am still working on it, I have a one year old kid , so a lot of my time is not in the garage any more. I did do a mock fit of the new trans last weekend, fits like a glove. The engine is still all apart, I am porting the heads and saved enough money to buy a cam and some other stuff for the top end. So that is going to be put together this spring..
I am looking for a good body man in Maryland/DC area, the car is in pretty bad condition (rust) and the frame needs to be pulled a little to make it square again. I am looking to make it rust free, prime it and paint the engine bay, then put the car on the road and then paint the body. I can either pay and/or trade for my computer repair services, I am a network engineer by trade (used to be a mechanic).
By the way I have the old engine and trans I do not need any more. That are also other parts I've collected over the years I will not need after L67 is in.... Let me know if anyone is interested. |

Whoa, near DC, just a stones throw away from here! I know how to do bodywork, but uh... I can't paint worth crap and don't have the experience as some should...
You will have to tell us how to wire that beast. Thinking of doing that sometime soon :) |

| Well I have the engine harness that came with the engine from the 99 Buick ultra, they cat it up pretty badly at the junk yard, I do not know if it will be usable, I also got an interior harness from a GTP for comparison to my original so I can figure out which wires to splice in to make my ignition and gauges work. Of course the ECU needs to be sent in to reprogram, get rid of security airbags, ABS, and make mods for better shifting, and move some stuff around so it does not throw a code with a larger cam. I have an acquaintance who has done it on a Lumina and he will have some pointers for me. As I understand there are only a dozen wire that need to be spliced if you doing it right. |
