Just think, you could rig it up with the trigger inside the car and only kick in the "blower" when you needed the power!

You would need some type of butterfly valve, to run the car in normal mode.

And a cool way to hide that ugly suck....I mean Blower!

Just for Shits and Grins, I'd like to see it run on the track.

have the pullstart inside the car...

" WTF are ya yanking on?"

"my supercharger"

LMFAO

if ya look at the graph it tells more of the story...major improvment in power on the bottom half of the curve from NA to "Leaf Blown"

not bad...peak power only went up 11hp...but it looks closer to 20Hp on the bottom half

What kind of pressure would a leaf blower create? Would that amount of boost hurt an un-modified NA engine? Would a stock NA engine be able to compensate enough fuel for the increased air flow? :-) Dont worry, Im not seriously thinking about it...

I think I'd still get a better performance gain from jacking up the back end of the car. That way I'd always be going downhill.

I don't know how much exactly, but I know a leaf blower is designed to provide lots of air speed and volume... not pressure. The opposite would be an air compressor, which provides lots of pressure but very little volume. It's not very hard to hold your hand over the output of a leaf blower and stop the airflow, but if you let the air come out freely, it moves mass amounts of air... fast.

That's true. The only way to increase the pressure, would be to make the impeller clearance smaller.

That's why, in the video, the HP didn't increase a whole lot until the laughing gas was introduced.

pluss most of em have bypasses that vent the air externally if the nozzle is blocked...that would have to be defeated or an older leaf blower used
