| Im tryin to figure out a decent sport rear end for an 85 cutlass supreme. I like the crusin rear, but its not enough torque, and im sure i have the power. Any ideas would help. |

Hi adma449, hello everyone,
Welcome to TOC.

What is your goal, and how much mileage/comfort/noise level (at highway speeds) are you willing to give up for it?
I assume yours is an automatic. Is it 3 or 4 speed? Does it have a Chev or Olds housing, and what ratio is it now?

A 305 is not exactly a powerhouse.

| I've changed my mind about the rear end. Since it is posi, I think i will leave it alone and change the tranny to a 400 series, and am currently researching a new motor, thinking about building up from a new 350 HO crate motor. If not that, then possible looking for a rocket to rebuild and drop in place of the 305. Any suggestions will be appreciated. |

Your new subject should be in a new thread. I'll reply there.
