I have a 2.4 L 4-banger in my 2001 Alero I was wondering what I can do that will give it the most get up and go with the least amount of cost. I am a college student so i am on a budget but I also want a fast car. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

Thanks,

Pabs

Hi Pabs523, hello everyone,

Welcome to TOC.

Fine example of an "oxymoron".

We need your definition of a fast car, your budget, and your skill/experience level?

Regards, Norm

You probably should have bought one with a V6.
Cheap things to do, get a cold air intake, maybe a chip.

The deal is this was my parents car and I am buying it from them thatis why I didn't go with the V6. I have enough skill to get me by with whatever i need to do (I have helped restore a 1931 Model A practically). I also have friends that have a ton more experience than I do who will help me out if i need it. Where is the best place to get a chip for your car?

How much of the work did you actually do?

Since GraveReaper0 knows about one that's worth the money, he can post a link to it.
