Hi all. I have owned this Intrigue for about a year, it is a good runner, but it does need some work, most notably the ac compressor (leaks from the shaft seal) and the front struts need to be replaced, (it squirrels around on tight right hand turns). I have put 70K on it in a year, not bad for paying 2.5 K for it. I had to rebuild the tranny at 180K, first time it was rebuild was at 85K. This time I was smart and dropped $550 for a rebuilt from AutoZone, 35K and no problems. Anyone know where I can get an ac compressor for cheap? Let me know!! Thanks!

Hey.....

Welcome to the site!

My A/C compressor went out in my intrigue too, although I just had it replaced at the local shop as it was a pretty hot summer and wanted to get it done as soon as possible. I did happen to get a brand new compressor from eBay for my 87 Delta 88 though, for about $140.....so I'd recommend checking out what eBay has to offer. I need to replace my struts too...haven't had to replace the tranny, but $550 from autozone is a pretty nice deal, good to know.
