| dude, I hate to be the one to break it to ya, but other than the mods you've done, there basically ISN'T anything in the line of high performance parts for the 2.5. That engine has been around for YEARS, and although it's known for its fairly good reliability, its NOT known for being a high performance engine...I'm afraid that unless the ricers are EXTREMELY slow, you have little or no chance of "whoopin ass" on them...you'd be better off selling it and buying something with a V6 if your intentions are to "whoop ricer azz"..of course, you COULD put a shot of nitrous on there, although I hope you have SEVERAL spare engines if you do so... |

put a turbo in er....get one from a junked saab or something....intercooled twin turbos...yea man....it'd be schweeeet...but seriously, it's a carburated four banger....it'd be different if it was a quad 4...but it's not....I'll look if there's really anything out there for you though....

OKAY...looks like stroker answered it pretty good up there...but your best bet, would be to sell the 2.5 four banger (if that's even possible)...and then drop a stock 3.1L V6 in it, this will most definately be a lot of work though....

Hmm...did a little research...I went to carparts.com, input the 1988 Ciera, and I found out it's not carburated...woops....that's a weird air intake setup though for a fuel injected engine
L4 2.5L 151cid F/I
I don't know what to say to you man...there really isn't anything you can do to that engine, if you're willing to spend a few thousand, get a Oldsmobile Quad 4 from mantapart.com :D
Oh yea...I was at carparts.com, and I entered your car with the L4, and when I clicked on Performance, it gave me a message that said something along the lines of "Hell No!".... j/k of course
