My uncle gave me a JVC stereo system to install in my car, and I can't tell which wire coming out of my factory-issue is what, and GM didn't even try to make guessing easy. does anyone know what each wire does? or at least have some kind of diagram that I can take a look at?

If there was a factory radio and it had a harness going to the back of it, all you need to do is buy a harness adapter from wal-mart or steoro shop and splice it to your JVc unit, you will also need a antena adapter kit sold as well.

when i switched headunits, i just plugged the harness into the factory wires. there wasn't a need to know what wire was what, even though the harness wires were labeled right on the insulation.
