Hello fellow Olds fans, I just joined today. My girlfriend and I have 3 cars and one is an Olds: a '98 88 LS (V6, 3.8 L) and yes, we get confused looks from a lot of people when we say "It's a '98 88." :P She named it "The Armada", because it's such a strong dependable car. She bought it a few years ago from a friend of the family. We love it, and it's one of the nicest cars I've ever driven. We just took it on a trip to NY and plan to take it on many more trips.
One of my best friends had an '89 Toronado Trofeo a few years ago. It was such an awesome car, but unfortunately it needed some work that he couldn't afford because we were poor college kids at the time, so he had to sell it. Very sad, but I have lots of memories in it. And my mom had a white Cutlass (two-door, vinyl top) in the early '70s, which I sadly never got to see in person because they traded it in for a '78 Pontiac LeMans which I rode in many times as a kid. But I have seen pictures of the Cutlass and it was a beautiful car. Oh to have driven it...*sighs* My girlfriend's dad used to drive an Olds station wagon when she was a kid, but he also *grumble* sold it several years ago. But now we have our 88 and we are thoroughly enjoying driving it.
And yeah, that's both of our Olds experiences in a nutshell. I love them, they are some of the best cars out there, and I look forward to talking with other Olds owners/fans. :)

At present, I own two '50 Coupes, one '65 Cutlass Holiday, and one '70 Cutlass Supreme Holiday.
I have several Chevs, but it is my policy, not to talk about them at the Olds sites I visit.
