| This looked like a good place to find out about modifying the 1995 Olds Delta 88 LSS I'm getting. My mother has had this thing for a long time and it has racked up just over 300,000 km's on the stock engine and transmission. It is still going strong even after all these miles thanks to regular oil changes and a conservative driver. No rust on the body despite many winters(thanks to the mostly fiberglass construction of the vehicle) but the paint has a few little spots where the paint has chipped off. The interior is still almost perfect, leather is wearing on the driver and passenger seat a bit, but it's otherwise in good condition. My plans for this car are pretty small for now. Mostly upgrade the stock sound system as one speaker is blown and I want something that actually sounds good and has some power to it. The things I would like to do as far as performance are leave the engine and tranny alone, because I would like to keep this thing running until I have money again(just finishing college and starting my Auto Mechanic apprenticeship). I will probably start on the suspension and possibly exhaust first for now though. Where are some good places to look for this sort of stuff? I've been browsing 3800Performance.com and found a few things, but I am unsure about the fit of some of these components because they do not have my vehicle listed on thier page. What's a good vehicle that's on there to use as a substitute to make sure I get the right part? |
