What do you think is the most popular Oldsmobile? The Cutlass models (Ciera, Calais, Supereme, and regular Cutlass) are the best sellers. The 88 and 98 stayed popular until the end, and the 442 is in the same class as the Mustang and Corvette as being a rock star of 1960's cars. So which one is the most popular, or the best of all the Oldsmobiles?

I would say 75 to 85 because Cutlass were the best selling car in America most of those years, but I like anything from 65 to 72 and 81 to 88, I think those were the best years

I'd have to vote 60-75, my dad had a 72 cutlass when I was little,he got rid of it when he needed more family room. He still wishes he would have kept it to this day. It was hit on every side and rusted out everywhere though, it was my grandpa's company car before it was my dad's. It got a beating. I also have a 1971 cutlass supreme convertible sitting out in a friend's field rotting away, waiting for me to get a garage for it. It would be a humoungos undertaking though, it's been there for 21 yrs now!

I guess I should tell you what mine is, I love the 1960-1975 cars, like the starfire, the 88, and 422. I must say however as the owner of a 85 Cutlass Ciera that the Cutlass Ciera is my favorite Oldsmobile because it has a great ride, ok looks (a little bland but I still would gove Olds a B+ for looks) and it is, one of Oldsmobiles best sellers (in 1983-1996 it was almost 1/2 of Olds total sales). And the years I like the most are 85(duh) to 88, because I love the way the back looks.

I also really like the 1949-1958 Oldsmobiles. My graet uncle jimmy had them back in the 1950's (i might post a pic of his Olds soon).

Well heres something interesting: The 3 best Oldsmobile sales years were 1984, 1985, and 1986. Each of the 3 years, Olds sold more then 1 million cars, the only other GM company to do so, Chevy! And what was the best selling Oldsmobile those 3 years....Cutlass Ciera/Cutlass Cruiser.

I don't care what kind of car it is aslong as it has oldsmobile in the name and a rocket up front :) personally i like the 78-88 a/g body's, preferably 87-88 g-body beacuse of front end. I myself have a 87 cutlass salon and an 86 cutlass supreme, so im kinda fond of those years. but if a 67-72 cutlass was dropped at kmy front door i damn would not decline it ;)
