i found this olds on ebay and i want to know what people think of 2nd generation auroras at the 65k mark. Is your ride still tight, if you have more mileage then 65k have you had to do major work on your car? Whats your general feeling towards the car? do youj like the outside? do the cupholders work well? Is it fast enough with the V8, is the tranny funny in the v8 like it is in a v6 (shortstar 3.5) intrigue were it seems like the tranny hesitates? Tell me please, if most things are good, i think i might upgrade out of my 02 intrigue gl 3.5l with leather and alloy 16 and a spoiler to this aurora, with a v8, silver exterior and dark interior. Real wood inlay, chrome 17s, 12 disc changer sunroof leather thats heated rear vents through center console. More power adjustments for the seats then what i currently have. And side airbags i think were standard.

| Those are nice looking cars, a family down the street has both gen. Auroras, a blue 1995 and a gold 2002 4.0. |

my guess the reserve is set somewhere round 8995, becuase they state that price in a few places, my guess is they will take that or more on the auction, tho if i were negotiating with them i could probably bring it down some. Of course with the help of my parents, my mother is an excellent negotiator. :D
I like the car alot, but im still concerned with quality aend that kind of things because it was the first yr for the second generation and my current olds benefits from being a 5 yr old design. What do you guys think?

I would not make any judgements without my own "in person" inspection/evaluation.

your definately right about that. Sometimes i feel like im in a hurry, and thats probably why im looking on ebay. Plus the fact that only around 75k were built and at least 30k of the second generation were built with my current rides V6. I really would like a second generation aurora, but it would have to be the v8, no if ands or buts. Next on the list would be the color silver, black, or the white diamond color with the dark colored interior. Then i'd like the bose stereo, and sunroof. O and chrome wheels too. I think the rest was standard on it and the other options i dont care for or need. Who knows when I'll get it, but i will. I've thought about leasing a buick lucerne cxs. They are damn comprable, but i'd be paying out my ass for a new one . :x :x
o well. I should probably find one thats closer to connecticut anyways, since im not gonne go out of state to just inspect a car. |

On the left, scroll down to search options/location. Check items within, and add the mileage and your zip.
It's how I found my '65, less than 30 miles away from my home.

Its really a good car, I'm having trouble tring to fault it, and make me buy an aurora. I probably should just continue keeping my car clean and maintianed and it would be just as forfilling as a used aurora V8. If i wait another year or two I probably could get a used Buick Lucerne csx for about the same amout with a few more cool options like the heated and cooled seat (i live in ct, those would matter) the magnetic ride control, plus the fact that it has a bit biffer engine sounds good too, plus who knows where gas prices will be then. I might be down sizing to an saturn aura, or smaller like thier new small car the astra. Who knows only time will tell, but i did not bid on that car on ebay. Still have my intrigue and like it very much! :D |
