My grandpa from my dad's side passed away last night...he had alzheimer's for quite some time, and was getting up there in age (87).
Not sure how I feel...he was gone quite a few months ago, he didn't even know my name anymore.
My uncle took him to the emergency room a couple nights ago, he was throwing up all over the place and before that he was sleeping a lot. His heart just stopped, they were giving him dopamine to keep the blood pressure up.
Basically, he was in the severe stage of alzheimer's....
I'll be leaving for up north soon, going with my brother for the funeral.

Sorry to hear that, I've never had a family member with alzheimer's but I can imagine it's pretty tough.
87, that's not bad... especially if he was reasonably healthy until recently. |

Thanks guys, I'm leavin' for my brother's house right now, and then we're heading up north for the funeral.

All went okay...was a short trip to see my mom's side of the family, wish I could have stayed longer up there to see them, but I am sure we'll be going back up there soon for vacation.
