| I was cleaning out the interior of my 78 cutlass salon project, as I was doing so, I noticed there were no window cranks on the rear doors. all I saw was a window, behind each door, with a latch on both of them. what kind of crazy setup is this????? I have never seen fixed rear door windows like this on a car before :?: |

| My 84 supreme had that- I always thought it was weird too- I am not sure why it was done, but they sure are child proof! |

Same with both my Coupes, and my '87.
Look around, it's more common than you think.
Why? I never thought about it.

| I opened a latch on one of those little windows behind the rear door, it swung out about an inch or so. sure is a weird setup. my owners manual doesn't say a lot about them |

sure is a relief to know I'm not the only one with this odd setup, now, I'd like sure like to know Oldsmobile's reason for it.
I have had other 80's full size GM cars, and the rear windows went down 1/2 way. |
