hello from central kansas!!
I just bought a 1978 olds cutlass salon 4 door, for a v8 swap project.
I found out the axle ratio codes I needed, but besides having to crawl under the car,to find them on the axle tube,or count teeth / or count revolutions of driveshaft & wheel, is there any other place I can find the axle code info? |

Hi Jeff,
Probably not. You are going to have to crawl underneath the car one way or the other. I think there is a code that can be read from the passenger side axle tube forward facing. I am working from memory from reading a previous post someplace so this information may be incorrect. But if you can read the code and post it I bet someone could decode it for you, not guaranteeing that will give you the ratio though.
