I guess you must just take each post as a new topic-
Quote: so please clarify to me what youre saying.
This is what you said on the first page-
Quote: The only way to effectivley make a deeper sound under load from the intake is to increases the amount of vacum the engine pulls in. that would happen if you got a biger throttle body, ported your upper intake and/or cylinder heads, cams etc..... otherwise you'd be wasting your time with the trumpet and other external devices. BTW do you have a LN3 or LG3?
You are NOT increasing the vacuum the engine creates. Period.
Yes,vacuum is what pulls the air in. But modifications to the intake do not create more vacuum. More air is sucked in because you have removed restriction and the engine can easily suck it in with the original amount of vacuum it had. This is at least the third time I have had to say this. My point is that simple, if you do not understand, get a dictionary and look up the meaning to any words you do not understand. |

| Andrew please you havent challenged my mind in any of our conversations, or your epic style quotes. and you are completley missing my whole question i asked you. but lets get into the whole point here to benefit the thread In your opinion what will increase the intake "sound"? |

OK. None so blind as those that refuse to see.
Quote: or your epic style quotes.
They are only for clarity. Makes the dialog much easier to follow for not only the active participants, but for people reading along.
Quote: and you are completley missing my whole question i asked you.
I am? This was your question. (I had answered it at least twice before)
Quote: so vacum dosent increase as more air is entering the engine?
No, it doesn't. Maybe this is the one you are talking about
Quote: how do you come to this conclusion even though you said you agree when i said air being "pulled" into another orfice is reffered to as vacum
Because its not how an engine works. Vacuum is the "choking effect" and is negative pressure. More air does not mean more vacuum. Easier breathing means more air pulled in by the existing quantity of vacuum, not that you have more vacuum. Clear enough?

A velocity stack. It would be a version of the "Exponential Horn" that Norm referred to. Remove the restriction and dampening, louder intake. |

| Injen makes there pipes which they call "sound tuned" they have the pipe which on most start off as a 3" and go up to as high as 4" then taper back down again, it's pretty much like making a resonator for the sound to give it a much deeper tone, but as for louder....cams, throttlebodies, rockers, ported intake manifolds....anything to increase the volume of air or amount the valves open will give you much more sound |

I've seen a whole lot of interestingly shaped intakes before. This is the "Air Hammer" intake available for my 3.5L dodge charger. Now this is what I'm talking about!!! This thing goes from 3" up to 6"!
Here is another amazing intake....
These designs have to amplify volume to some degree... |

| I wonder. I want to increase my sound 2. I guess the throttle body would be an easy start |

I do not see the words "sound tuned" on the Injen site.
Post a link to the product, so we can discuss it.

I doubt it would make any difference. Easiest, would be to eliminate the air duct completely. Better choice would be a larger/less restrictive filter.
Less restriction = Less sound absorption.
If that's not loud enough, 88delta88's "air hammer" at $400, or so, looks like your best alternative so far.

Exactly why its still at thier warehouse, and not on my machine!!! 400 is crazy. But, I certainly would love one. |
