Not sure if this is the right place to post this question but it is audio related so here it is anyway.
My power antenna is stuck at about half way and I want to fix it. What other years and models can I swap in there?
Thanks

Hi,
No junkyards for a good 100 miles, so that is probably not an option. I'm not wanting to pay a lot for a new one either. My buddy knows of a few GM cars scrapped and if I knew what would fit he'd go take a look. Alwasys best to know in advance.
Thanks for the welcome and the replies, I was wondering if anyone was checking in as my first post about the door locks/panels seems to have passed away...
Cheers! |

BTW any 91-97 C-body car will be a direct bolt in, C-body is park ave's,Bonnivilles,98's etc... as for your door question, what exactly is wrong??
Edit: this will be a better option to:

Universal (one size fits all) and made in China. Do you want to hack it or do it right? Your choice.

It's normally what happens when no one has experience with that particular problem.

| So how many products are actually made in the us? FYI GM cars are nade in mexico with a disturbing amount of parts that were....made in china!! As for the kit it is a fit for his car, so where do you get "hacking" from. As for the Op's door problem please go into detail a little more about your problem so we can help you. |

The kit is a fit for his car because it is universal...meaning you have to put a little creativity into mounting it properly...unlike where a stock one would bolt right up. That wire strap you see in the picture is what is used for the "fit all applications."

FYI: Even the factory power antena's have straps as seen here. so there is no need to make any mounts or anything of that nature

Hello,
I have some issue with the front passenger power lock on my 1995 Eighty Eight Royal LS. I'd like to pull the panel and take a look inside. Can anyone provide help with doing this or a link to a step by step?
Also, if I end up having to install a new power lock motor, how difficult is that?
Thanks
The "issues" are what im asking for Clown because issues isnt a specific term, so please let the op respond to my question, he did not choose you to speak for him. |

Hey,
Loads and loads of links. As requested, the issue with my power lock is that sometimes it doesn't fully lock, and once I manually lock it I have to hit the power switch 3 or 4 times to make it unlock again.
In my mind, that sounds like something that just needs a good greasing. But, I can't be sure. What I wanted to do first was pull the panel and take a look inside. But, this is the first time I've had a 1995 and the panels aren't like my old Eighty Eight which was a 1987. So, I wanted some good instructions on how to remove the panel first so I woudln't tear the crap out of it. Then I wondered how hard it would be if I had to replace the lock motor/actuator if need be.
That's my story.

Really, that is great. I thought as much but wasn't 100% sure. What about the rear mounted models from the late 80's? |

got it, ok youll need a flathead screw driver and a phillips,
First you need to pry the back of the window switch so it comes up, disconnect it from the wiring harness (it will take a lot of finesse and patience so just take your time) proceed by looking for IIRC 2 screws, take them loose, proceed to the the edge of the door panel you will see the courtesy light carefully pry it out from the top side and disconnect the light bulb from the harness, then there will be one screw there, now just pull from the top of door panel to remove it completley and disconnect any other wiring that holds it to the harness. Dont worry if you break the push clips that hold the door panel on autozone sell new ones for 2.99. Take the plastic sheathing off, and proceed with trouble shooting, BTW you can reconnect your window/unlock switch now as well. Hope this helps, as this all from memory.
Edit: i dont know about the 80's it should work, they have the same moldings on top so they should but im not 100% on that |

There is no one here that does not know what you were asking about, and there is no reason for your childish reaction.
I simply supplied the link, so you could discuss it in its proper place.

Any child can see that I am not stopping anyone from doing anything.

I provided the info, youre not a admin nor moderator, if THEY feel the need to correct me let THEM do so. know your place, have a nice night,
