| i have a small amp 200watts and somehow it drains the battery enough so when i start the vehicle the alternator belt squels. is my alternator bad or what? |

My guess is that the amp has nothing to do with it. I would check the condition and tension of your alternator belt and proceed with either tensioning properly or replacement.

| the person i bought the car from used a ton of belt dresser and it was black and sprayed all over engine. maybe that is why he used it. i didnt know that stuff actually worked though. when i give my car a tuneup tomorrow ill take a look at the alternater belt. thank you for your input |

No problem. Hope you get it fixed.
Oh, and belt dressing usually, at least in my experience, only works temporarily- It's a great band-aid cure if you are looking to sell a car...

hmmm that could have helped me on a last car sale i had. thanks for that tip.
im not sure if you would know this or not but you know anything i could spray on the antenna to keep it from iceing it up during the snow storms we have up here in wisconsin. i have had that thing freeze up like 2 times already. i just spray the thing with oil when i finally get it up. i dont want that to break caus its quiet expensive for a new one |

| Try some dry graphite lubricant.....should do the trick. |
