Hi,
I've got a 98 regency year 87 with 355,000kms on the clock and it runs well... most of the time.
I've changed the oil and filter, air filter and kept the levels where they should be.
It sometimes doesn't idle fast enough for the engine to keep running when I put it in gear. This happens occasionally whether the engine is hot or cold.
I'm guessing this might be an old sensor or something? any ideas on what it might be and how I can fix it\clean it?
When driving, the engine seems to cut out very briefly causing the transmission to knock loudly. I'm going to change the fuel filter since I expect that it hasn't been changed for a very long time. I presume this could be various things, are there a few things that I could check?
Also It came with no service history so I don't know when the spark plugs or leads where last changed? How often do these need replacing?
Are there any other things that I should be checking for and or servicing to keep it running sweetly. Just for interest I bought it off my girlfriends granddad for $1 and I'm very proud of it!! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Tom |
