| hi people i was driving home from work down the highway about 90klms an hour when my engine just stopped like someone turned the key off . all the eletrical stuff was still on. i just coasted to a stop waited for 30 seconds or so turned the key on and it fired up, i think on third try and drove it home, it was only about half a mile though. i have to go to work tomorrow, so i'll see what happens. im hopeing and praying it doesn't happen again. any idea's from anyone what it might be?? oh ya it's a 94 olds 88 royale with a 3.8 thanks for your input obiwann |

| i think it might be dirt in the gas. as i almost ran out of gas before thisstarted to happen. i think i sucked up dirt from bottom of gas tank. i changed fuel filter and added some injector cleaner and it seems to be getting better. at least now when i step hard on the gas it dosen't cough and spit and die, it actually starts to speed up hehehe.... i'll give it another day or two and hopefully i clears right up. oh ya the fuel filter was full of dirt, like lots of it thanks for your reply anyway i'll let you know if problem goes away. |
