| i have a 1994 olds delta88 3.8 litre that likes to stall after it's warmed up. all i do is turn it off for 30sec and start it back up and away i go. i had it scanned and no faults came up and of coarse it never stalled for the mechanic but he said a good place to start is the ignition module. so i'm going to go to the scrap yard and pick one up but i need know which years are compatible with mine can it be any year as long as it is a 3.8 or just certain years. does it have to be out of an oldsmobile or will a chevy do too as long as it is a 3.8? also will one out of a 3.1 work. any information would be appreciated. |

| no, only 3.8 equipped cars, any year but the newer years will probably be in better shape. for your car any 92-06+ coil pack will work. |

The control module is the same from 92-06, but the coils on the 92 are different than the 93-06. |

| no the control modules are diffrent as well they dont interchange (magnavox style and ac-delco coils packs) some of the 92's have the magnavox style but there rare. |
