Greetings all.
I have had my Intrigue for about a year now. I see that a lot of the board's activity is rather old. I ran into the same problem with a website I used to run when the vehicle was out of production (Pontiac Aztek - www.aztekfanclub.com) I don't run the site anymore, but it is still plugging along without me.
Anyhow... I have an 02 Intrigue. I haven't had any major problems out of it. I just had to replace the ignition switch last week.
It is time for tires, and I was thinking that I would rather have steel wheels than to have the alloy ones it came with. Here's what it looks like now:
This is a manip of a bout how it would look with steelies and beauty rings/center caps:
Granted, the Microsoft "Paint" image manipulation isn't the best, but it gives the general idea. I think it looks a bit more sporty with the steelies.
Opinions?
Anyway. Greetings to you all and I look forward to many hours of reading on the boards here. |

Hello and welcome to the forums.
Is anything wrong with the Alloys? I have the chrome plated alloys (98-99), which the chrome plating always seems to peel off on them...not on the front yet, but it is peeling off inside the rim.
If nothing is wrong with them, I would keep them.
The bad part about the steelies is the paint job usually isn't all that great, since they are meant to be covered with hub caps. You'd probably want to blast them and put a nice black/clear coat finish on them.

| No, there isn't anything wrong with the alloys. The whole car is in mint condition. I just don't care for them. The car looks a bit... "Luxurious". I would rather have it look a bit more sporty. I will keep the alloys in the garage... just in case tho. :) |
