I just bookmarked this post because it sounds very familiar to a mysterious affliction my car is currently suffering.
For the last year my 1998 Intrigue has had problems with stalling out while driving. I'll be going along just fine and then suddenly my RPM rapidly fluctuates or just seems to get stuck and then the engine and power cut out. I've had her to three mechanics and no one can figure the problem. It seems to happen most often when I'm down to under half a tank of gas. If I pump the accelerator it seems to pull the car out of the stall and I can go on and not have the car die on me. When she does die all I have to do is shift to park, turn off, and turn back on and we're back in business.
She has a brand new battery in her (old one was tested and came back as 'bad' so in went a new one) and that seems to have helped some but has not resolved the problem completely.
Did you notice any RPM changes when you were having the problem or any differences in performance depending on how much gas you had in your tank? |

Common thread(?) between the links is: Confusion.
Less confusing to start a new thread, dedicated to your own specific issue, then follow it to its conclusion.

I apologize for that. I saw that many had a similar problem and did not want to clog things up with a redundant post. Thank you for your direction on this and I shall this in the future.
