Hello, all
Interesting how some names get tossed around.

Present day "Hemi" is equipped with tuned port injection. Chrysler was so successful with their marketing of the name that few know that the hemispherical combustion chamber was used long before Chrysler adopted the design.

Few are still around to remember the 426 Hemi engine put out about the same power as the Ford, Chev, and Pontiac of that era.
The design has been used in many engines all over the world, and still is.

No Barry Grant massaged 750 cfm carb even comes close to the "out of the box" 4500 series, 750 Dominator on my 425.
My Red Coupe came with a 4150 that was sized and tuned by BG for that 468. No comparison to the "out of the box" 4500 series, 1050 Dominator on my other 468.
Ski or Surf?

leave it stock....................
And work over the mechanicals to make it quick, so they won't know what happened.
Brianritchie21787:
As far as I know, all auto manufacturers use the same basic induction design. Good marketing on Chevrolets part, has some segments of the public thinking it's superior to the competions version of the same technology.
Turbocharged400sbc:
They are not race cars and each may only see one or two races a year.
Both are as streetable as most cars you'll see on the street/highway.
The exception is the full manual, reverse pattern, valvebody/transbrake and the spool in the red coupe. They make it a bit of a handfull when parking/manuvering.
I am holding it to cruises/shows that are close to home, until I can get a stock type valve body and diff back in it.
