Hi, im going to get straight to the punch: I don't know alot about car repair, but i do know my 64 cutlass is leaking in the trunk and interior. I got this car from an eldelry neighbor who was not driving anymore for 8 dollars, and i know you might scream at such a price when you see the pic, but it did have some problems. The trunk is rusting from water leaking in ( because of the gaskets, i know, im going to replace them ). But i want to know if theres a way i can remove the rust thats accumulated. The interior is leaking through to my knowledge the air vents on the driver and passenger sides ahead of the doors. How do i fix this? ( or is there even a way?! )
Anyway, heres the pic.

| Ill get a pic of the rust in the trunk tomorrow. The interior has been barely leaked in, and the car is garaged. It really doesnt annoy me that much, its just the fact i cant drive her in the rain ( or all year round ) |

Hi Sabertooth,
Welcome to TOC.

Trunk lid uses a gasket, available here, rear glass does not.
When you get the trim off, check for rust along the bottom of the glass. Leaks, due to rust, are common in '60s/'70 A bodies.

POR-15. I've used it. It works.
If it's more than "surface rust" OPGi sells patch panels.

Anything can be fixed.
First, you need to find the exact location of the leak(s).

| Yea i forgot to mention about the rear window. Below the trim theres visible rust and some all the way through, meaning when i look up through the inside of the trunk i can see light. Now im guessing thats something that should be caulked. |
