1993 88 royale, no matter where the heat temp selector is, the heater keeps putting out heat, even when a/c and vent is selected. the heat temp selector is the slide type to select temp. It is hot when hot is selected and warm when cold is selected. Do I need a new heater control unit? Looks like I have to replace the whole unit, not just the heat temp selector.

fixed it, it was the heater control on the dash, found one in a junk yard for $20
