FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

California AutoFest Finds New Home With Buckaroo Communications, Inc.

DATELINE: January 12, 2004
OXNARD, CALIFORNIA - The 2003 inaugural California AutoFest was a huge success, with more than 67,000 automotive enthusiasts in attendance, who experienced more than 1,400 show vehicles, hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of new products, and helped raise over $93,000 for various charities. “The inaugural year of the California AutoFest was an unprecedented accomplishment,” said Les Davidson, former president of the California AutoFest. “We realize, however, that the level of involvement required to take this event to the next level would only be accomplished with the help of a partner who knew the aftermarket industry, the automotive community and this event intimately. So, as of January 1, 2004, we are pleased to announce Buckaroo Communications, Inc. as the proud owner of the California AutoFest.”
This world-class spectacle was one of the most dynamic automotive celebrations ever held. This 10-ring circus of all things motorized featured a phenomenal range of high-performance vehicles and action events. “Buckaroo Communications, Inc. is pleased to announce our first-ever entry into automotive events. The California AutoFest will continue in much the same tradition—with a few new wrinkles, as well as the strength and editorial coverage that our family of Buckaroo magazines brings to this event,” said John Dianna, president/CEO of Buckaroo Communications, Inc. “We are now responsible for pulling together all of this year’s activities and are planning extensive editorial coverage of the AutoFest, along with a few new surprises.”
“Buckaroo Communications, Inc. is now running the day-to-day operations, but we have secured some very key employees from the original AutoFest staff. As a result, Todd Cernetic, Mike Davidson and Jim Reyes now join the Buckaroo Communications, Inc. team. Buckaroo Communications, Inc. credits not only Les Davidson for his vision, but also the heart of his fine staff who undertook such a difficult challenge getting this event off the ground. Les Davidson also continues with the event and will serve as liaison leader for the many fine clubs and organizations that have become so integral to the successful production of the event. We welcome our new event division team members to our hardworking, dedicated and talented Buckaroo family,” Dianna said.
The California AutoFest brings together a broad range of interests from all auto enthusiasts by providing something of interest for everyone and encompassing everything from street rods to street machines, tuner cars to trucks and motorcycles to big rigs. “It is our hope to involve a great number of key custom builders, owners and car clubs to attend and participate in this unique event. We can accommodate club parking, RV camping and hotel reservations, and we offer the excitement of many new activities, which we will announce each month in our family of Buckaroo Communications, LLC magazines,” Dianna said.
Make plans to join us and our team of Buckaroos and their cameras at the California Speedway in Fontana, California, on July 23, 24 and 25, 2004, to share in all the fun and enjoyment of the California AutoFest. For further information, or to register for this exciting new Buckaroo Communications, Inc. event, please call the Buckaroo offices at 805/986-0400, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST.
