Because everyone got their cars for different reasons, I want to know how did everyone get their Olds? Do you know who the owners have been, were its gone, any problems its had?
Mine was bought new by my uncles mother in July 1985 with 35 miles on it. She drove it until she died in late 1998. My uncle and aunt (my mom's sister) got the car and gave it to my cousin. She took it back and forth to Florida to college, before getting a Acura Integra (cause their rich, and she thought the Cutlass was a old ladys car). They kept it around for the next 5 and 1/4 years. On the 1st day of 2004, she gave me the car with 72,688 miles on it. At this point it needs a oil change, a head gaskit, and a upper radiator hose ( about $50 in all cause Im doing the work). Other then Florida, the car has never been out of Connecticut. It has the orig. engine and tranny, and I have almost all the dealer papers for it as well as a LOT of stuff on everything from oil changes to a new water pump. I hope to be able to restore some of the cars like new looks (when I was little, ridding in that car was so nice, the old lady kept it just so). :D

Lets see hear since I have pretty much all the paper work on my car (even the original warrenty, protect-o-plate, even the original bill of sale) but it was bought back in 71 and I believe I'm the 4th owner, I'm going to have to check my paperwork tomorrow. The motor, tranny, suspension was rebuilt about 10 years ago or 50,000 miles. Other than that I will have to go through all my paper work.

Lets see, first owner of my '87 bought it brand new off the lot in '87. In 1994 at the age of 16 I bought it for my first car. 10 years later it has a 455, built TH-2004R and a few other things. ;) Still has the original paint though. :(

i got my car almost 7 years ago when i was 17. i didn't get it by choice, the price was right, free. i hated the car at first, tried to kill it a few times, but it grew on me. when i was younger i liked it because it wasn't a cop magnet (kinda is now, no front plate, tint, loud exhaust) it was a customers car, it broke the timing chain and bent the valves and pushrods. car had 105,000 miles on it at the time, body was in decent shape, interior was pretty clean. the customer didn't want to put the money into it, so she brought down the title and it was ours. it sat for 3 years before i got my hands on it. rebuilt the engine and trans after i blew the trans and spun a rod bearing. trans has been rebuilt a few times since (current trans has 90,000 miles on it). engine has 170,000 on it. car has 275,000 on it. thats the story of my car.

my olds was aquired 1 1/2 years ago from my boss's wife. I've been around the car since I was 15, but had no interest in it, nor did I ever dream I would be driving it one day... I recall one time they sent me with it for an oil change and I remember it was a damn nice car, and had lots more power than my car at the time.

I bought it summer of 2001, with 96,000 km's on it (less than 60,000 miles). All original paint, motor, tranny, everything except the usuals (alternator, tires...). Oh, and I added my extras in there aswell, since I could not drive a stock looking granny car.
