Why would you want to black out your taillights? That just makes it that much harder for people to tell your braking and makes things that much more unsafe.
And if you black out the headlights, just remember to remove the covers at night. I don't know how many idiots around here I've seen drive with their black out covers at night. You can barely see them on the road. |

I think the tail light mod i've done works well...
I only misted them black, JUST enough for a blacker look... The tail lights and markers on the front of the vehicle are ample bright enough to be seen even in driect sunlight... I havent had a problem yet. The pictures make my lights look pitch black, although they are not....
I suppose if i'd have done them any darker, there would be issues with how bright they would be, but they've treated me good for over a year now, just make sure you prep the surfaces first... the paint will chip off slowly if you dont sand them with very fine sandpaper first. After the paint cures, you can polish the paint for an extremely glossy look, assuming your light covers arent too scratched up to begin with.
I would recommend getting the headlights a cover, and not painting them, since that could very well cause legal problems for you in the event of getting pulled over... And even before you paint your markers, check around and see what the laws are regarding that... Big Block, I totally agree with you about the morons with headlight covers at night... Having cool lights is one thing, safety is another. |

uyeah, they've been going nuts about people with tint on thier side windows around here too... I can see why they dont like it, some people have the 5% on the sides, and you cant see shit out them at night.
I'd like to have them though so people cant look in my windows and see I've got anything to steal (or maybe the tint would make it more attractive to thieves!) |
