Okay...so I am going to be upgrading my system, but need to sell some stuff to afford it....

Here's what I am thinking of selling....
Make an offer, I'll set a price that I think it should be (won't include shipping)

Aiwa CDC-MP32 Head Unit, 4 x 50 Watts, plays MP3 CDs, can set a lot of presets for both AM and FM, H-Bass setting, DSSA (Driver Sound Stage Adjustment) points the sound towards the passenger or driver...kinda cool. Thinking about $150 plus Shipping and Handling, the front panel has been replaced....it's really like new. Will include the box, steering wheel remote, manual...everything that came with it! :D

Rockford Fosgate 5.3X 5-Channel Amplifier 390 Watts (1997)
I have pictures in the album, it's really a great amplifier, but my system setup won't allow it :(
It's got 5 channels, but it can be easily used as a 3 channel, 4 channel...it's very flexible. It's got an X-Card internal crossover system, you open up the amp, and switch these cards around to adjust the crossover. No manual included...just the box and the amp, but you can find the manual online HERE. $200 plus Shipping and Handling.

Infinity Kappa 32.5cf 3.5" Coaxial Speakers with External Crossovers. Great set of coaxials for the front dash of most of you Oldsmobile owners. :D But since I'll be getting Components...I won't be needing these anymore. They handle the volume well, and truly are the best 3.5" speakers out there in my opinion....$50 plus Shipping and Handling. These sell for $74.95 at SoundDomain!

[I'll see if I can get some better pictures up of the MTXs]
Two 12" MTX Subwoofers in Sealed Enclosure. The box is quite large, but the largeness of this box makes the subwoofers have great reproduction of bass 8) They handle 400 watts RMS (I guess they are the MTX 4000 Subwoofers...but they were reconed with MTX Roadthunder), they are wired in parallel in the box, giving a 4 ohm configuration (each sub is 8 ohm). They don't sound too bad at all, I was even thinking of putting them back in my trunk....but I need to have some space in there....so....$180 plus Shipping and Handling for the Box and Subwoofers... (It would be nice if you lived in the area...Michigan, Ohio, Illinois for shipping would be a little cheaper :? )

2 - InstallEdge Ground Loop Isolators with 1.3dB gain, plug em' in between the head unit and the RCA cable going to your amplifier and get rid of that nasty ground loop noise often referred to as a constant pulse going through your speakers. $10 each plus Shipping and Handling.

Crunch DS-VU Line Driver, 3-Way Crossover, and Dual VU Meters, with built-in Ground Loop Isolator. Increases voltage through your RCAs to your amplifier. Acts as an active crossover too. Looks cool! $25 plus Shipping and Handling. Pictures can be found at my sounddomain page.

There's other stuff that I will list later...but I gotta eat right now...lol

P.S. Most pictures of this stuff can be found at my sounddomain page linked above....

The ultimate winter beater system for sale (using a stock head unit)

OK...so I was young and stupid (not saying I am still not young anymore...), but this stuff isn't exactly called "high quality", but it all does work, and the stuff I will list will work great off of a stock head unit (using a high level to low level converter for the amps).

So here it goes....

Mobile Authority Thump! 10" Subwoofer in Sealed Enclosure. I'll let it got at $45 plus shipping and handling, in original box and everything! This wasn't too bad, like I said, good for the winter beater. I have an amp for it too which I'll list below.

Mobile Authority Thump! 450 watt MAX 2-Channel Amplifier, it's chromed out, it does about at most 220 watts rms bridged 4 ohms, it's got an 80Hz switched crossover. Uh.....$40 plus Shipping and Handling?

Mobile Authority Thump! 3.5" Dual Cone Speakers
They work, they have a little cosmetic damage but still sound the same as when I bought em. $10 plus Shipping and Handling. They work as a good stock replacement running off of a stock head unit.

Mobile Authority Thump! 6x9" 3-Way Speakers
They don't sound bad, they handle some good bass, like I said for the 3.5" speakers, good stock speaker replacement. $30 plus Shipping and Handling. Includes speaker wire, grills, everything...even the box!

Mobile Authority Thump! 250 Watt 2-Channel Amplifier. It's also chromed out, supposed to do about 2 x 65 watts RMS, I used it to run my 6x9" speakers listed above. $30 plus Shipping and Handling.

Pyle Millenium 3.5" 2-Way Speakers. A little bit higher quality than the Thump! 3.5" Speakers. They have an integrated mylar capacitor crossover network, 20oz magnet with rubber boot magnet cover. This things aren't too bad at all. I replaced these with the Infinity's because I found that these couldn't handle as much of the volume control as I wanted to. Another excellent stock speaker replacement. $20 plus shipping and handling. Includes speaker wire, and the original box.

Pyle Wave 6x9" 3-Way Speakers. Includes Speaker wire, grills, mounting hardware, and even the box. Ferrofluid enhanced voice cool to handle the wattage, rubber boot magnet cover, 150 watts RSM power handling, 99dB Sensitivity. $30 plus Shipping and Handling.

Everything is in working condition, and everything is cosmetically okay. The only thing that doesn't look the greatest is the Mobile Authority Thump! 3.5" Speakers, as some shit got on the cone that came from the dash...but it doesn't affect it's performance...you won't be able to see em' anywayz once they're installed. Like I said above, this post includes everything accept the high level to low level converter to upgrade your AC Delco stock system (except for the stereo) in your winter beater. $155-$165 (Plus Shipping and Handling) for a complete system for that stock head unit in your winter beater. The only thing you'll need to get is a high level to low level converter (or buy a cheap head unit with preamp outputs) and wiring for the amplifiers.

What kind of subs do you have right now anywayz? What amp do you have running them/it? Recommended RMS Wattage to each sub is 50-200 watts RMS, so 100-400 watts RMS bridged at 4 ohm amplifier. According to MTX specs, one of these subs in a 1.25 cubic foot enclosure (I think that's what these subs are in, 2.5 cubic feet total), can produce 115dB at 200 watts RMS. So they can get pretty loud, they have a respectable .32" (8.1 mm) of excursion.

from another topic....
Quote: Next Up, the Line Driver/Crossover/Ground Isolator/VU Meters:

A unit that I have yet to review, can't tell you how it works cause it's not hooked up yet, it will probably be hooked soon though since my car finally works properly . It was only $9.99 online (not including the $10 shipping charge), so what the hell, main reason I chose it would be the Line Driver (Head Unit gives out only 2 volts (so Aiwa says anyways), this thing puts out up to 10 volts. The crossover is also a plus.

Quote: Crunch DS-VU Line Driver, 3-Way Crossover, and Dual VU Meters, with built-in Ground Loop Isolator. Increases voltage through your RCAs to your amplifier. Acts as an active crossover too. Looks cool! $25 plus Shipping and Handling. Pictures can be found at my sounddomain page.
 HOLY INFLATION BRANDOMAN!!!!!! :P

BUSTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that must include the "took it out of the box and drooled on it" surcharge, eh Brando?

actually, I MAY be interested in this...

Actually Mr. Stroker,
They ended up inflating the shipping price to $20.
So I am not ripping anyone off here....
All prices are a certain percentage lower than what I actually paid. 8)

I'll throw in a Scosche 3 Foot Platinum Series RCA Interconnect with the Crunch DS-VU. All for $25 plus Shipping and Handling.

P.S. Stroker, if you bought this (if you still got a stock system in that sunbird), since it has high level inputs, you could use it with the stock head unit in the sunbird, and buy the winter beater system for what normally would be the price of a good quality amplifier.
Or you could use it to just pimp out that vista some more!

Mr Stroker???? damn, now ya ARE making me feel OLD...thats why I come here...to hang out with the younguns!!! :P

I am interested in the VU unit...geez, thats ALL I need..more stereo equipment!!!

Actually, the system in the Sunbird is dead.....it had an aftermarket deck in it that the guy pulled, no rear speakers, and cut wiring in the dash :? , it has the goofy setup with the little square controls in the center of the dash, and the tuner/amp is remote from the controls...I haven't even pissed with it...

I'll give ya an "A" for the suggestive selling techniques though

Well...I'll need your Address (send through PM or Email) to figure out the shipping cost through FedEx, and then how do you want to send the money once I figure that out? I have PayPal, or sending out a check in a card (minus the card part, just wrap in a piece of paper so people can't see through it and see there's a check inside)

Hmm...head unit is dead in sunbird eh? Well, I got a head unit for sale too! Plays MP3s! (I also have a digital tuner AM/FM AC Delco 1.5 DIN radio that I picked...um...out of the trash a couple years ago  )

That directed amp should work alright on these MTX subs...I had my Scosche amp that I sold to my friend running them at one point and time, and that amp only puts out 272 watts RMS and they still sounded pretty good.

So, Crunch DS-VU is pending for Strokercutlass and the MTX Subs are pending for Cutlass95Ciera...
