|
|
I can almost get car sick in my 1994 Cutlass Ciera because its suspesion SUCKS.
How might I fix this problem, and how difficult is it to fix? I'm no wizard, but I'm mechanically intelligent.
I was thinking about putting in an Eibach kit:

Quote: Eibach Springs Pro Kit [ 3834.140 ]
Eibach Pro-Kit, Front 1.3 in Rear 1.0 in
Fitment Details:
Fits: 1993 - 1994 Oldsmobile Ciera FWD, 4 & 6 Cylinder, Excluding Supreme Chassis A-Body

Well...first of all you might wanna check if your struts haven't gone bad...my rear ones are bad (gotta change em' sometime  )
And it's bouncy as hell....changing the springs isn't really gonna help with what you're explaining...

| Well, maybe, but I doubt it. I mean more how it rolls on corners and tips back and forth on brake and accellerate. |

new set of stiffer struts will cure front to back, and may help with body roll, but you will need to upgrade your springs for sure if you want performance cornering and such...
Maybe a larger sway bar on the front, or if you dont already have one on the rear, see if you can retrofit something... That will help body roll a lot. |

Do Cutlass Cieras have a sway bar? I don't even know...
An olds with performance cornering would be freakin' the bomb! |

| cutlass cierra's the sport models had it I am sure of it... Try and find a junked one with the FE3 package... Maybe the sway bar mounts are even on your car, just not installed as an option! |

| How do I know if I do or do not have a sway bar. On the rear there is a straight square pipe position diagonaly on the axle, is that it? And what about the front? |

Look for a bar connecting the two control arms together....it's usually round....
