Hello,

I am in the process of installing a new CB Radio in my 1990 Delta 88...

I've got everything installed, (antenna, radio, mic, etc...) I just have to hook up the Radio to some power.

I have three wires, a red, orange, and black...

Red and Orange need to be hooked to power and black is the negative and needs to be hooked to the frame.

Manual says I gotta hook the orange and red to a 12v connection and the black to the frame...

What's the easiest way to do this?
How much of my dash do I have to take apart?
Should I run my power and hook right up to my battery?
Can I just use some of the plugs on the fuse box?

Thanks for your help, if you need more info let me know!

you should be able to find a piece of chassis grounded metal under the dash, if you have one of those cheapy test lamps use it to verify ground. the red lead (of the test lamp) should be on battery B+ use the "ign" terminal on your fuse panel (with ignition on), the black lead should be on the metal you are testing for ground. Once you find a good ground, just use a small self tapping screw to start a hole on the bare metal, after screwing it in, back it out again and attach the ground wire. If you can solder I recommend soldering a terminal lug to the wire. If not just wrap the wire around the screw tightly after you have stripped off the insulation and tighten down the screw snug. Then attach a female spade connector to the red wire, you can get the kind that crimp on and have insulation around them. They come in different sizes, so get the one that fits the "ign" terminal on the fuse panel. That way you can just push the wire right on the terminal real easy. If that wire isn't fused (it should be) then I recommend putting an in-line fuse on the wire to protect the circuit and your radio. You said the radio is new so the owner manual should give the size of fuse you should use. In fact, there should be some kind of installation instructions with the radio. Good luck.
