Please do! One of these days we're gonna have to start a thread and make it sticky here in the Performance section dedicated solely to showing off all our different CAI's that we've all made. That way people can formulate new ideas and provide opinions and whatnot to eachother on new homeade Oldsmobile Cutlass CAI desings!

If I just connect a new air filter directly to my block with out doing the custom tube like 88delta88 did, would it still sound the same, and give me at least SOME benefits??

wouldnt give you much benefits..cause it would be close to the engine.and it would suck in hot air.....hench the "cold" ain take..im making a bit of a heat shield for it and i'll see how she runs and the temp and shit...i might totally seal it off form the engine compartment and stuff

95cierra, it will give you the LOUD sound, and some benefit over stock, depending on how you do it... I only spent 8 dollars on the flex tubing...

furyolds, how are you planning to bend the tube just out of curiosity?

I'm just about done with building mine, I've been struggling all day to get it to fit, not looks chinsey, and be sturdy.

I CAN'T find anything with an outside diameter of 3"... all PVC is inside diameter of 3" and I'm about to give up and leave the filter right on the engine.

A filter that fits the car WON'T fit PVC pipe of the same size!!! GRRR!
