Sand the outside of the PVC pipe down until it does?
Or with the sanding bit, just Dremel away at the inside diameter of the rubber fitting on the air filter until it will fit. That's what I had to do to my air filter in order to get it to fit directly onto the throttle body. I really only had to shave off a few thou on the surface though, Nothing major. |

| no, just keep looking for something that's the right size... sometimes you have to get creative. take a tape measure into the hardware store and start measureing things. Thats how I had to come up with the parts for my setup... You'll find something sooner or later. |

8 bux for the aluminum flex tube
35 bux for the filter
5 or 6 bux for materials
2 or 3 hours to get it all together the way I wanted. Many trips to the hardware store to look for stuff that didnt work on the first try... :-)
Its well worth the 50 dollars (canadian I might add) that I put into it. |

| oh, you know what else might work? Try and find some larger diameter exhaust flex tube... I was looking at that stuff AFTER I built my intake, it would have looked a whole lot nicer. |

Built it, AWESOME performance, GREAT sound... about $50 total.
Made with two 45 degree 3" PVC fittings, two 3"x3" rubber plumbing connectors, four connector bands and an Ractive filter.

| Thats looking pretty nice man. Only thing is on ur hood do u still have that thick insulator/ noise absorber thing installed? Because ive noticed that keeps ALOT of heat in my engine compartment, so im gonna pull mine off. See that bar u have there above the battery, If ive been running my engine for a while i cant even put my hand on it, it gets so hot. |

I took my heat blanket off a long time ago. It traps ALOT of dust and dirt in it. That's the number one reason really why I took it off. |

| Well wat i think its there for is not to keep the heat in, but to quite down the engine noise when the hood is closed. New cars have ones that dont trap heat in, but keep engine noise to a minumum. So basically if u dont mind hearing ur engine more that u can take it off, otherwise theres no good in keeping more heat in the engine compartment. |

| i thought the heat blanket thing if u took that off it makes your paint peel or something since it would get too hot.....well at least that is what i have heard i could be wrong.... |
