Would this work with a 3.1 Ciera?

http://www1.ecxmall.com/stores/americanperformance/Detail.bok?no=29

Or is there any chip upgrades anyone knows of for the 3.1 V6?

Chips will work, but generic ones like that usually will end up making the car run a little hot. For the best possible results with a chip, I'd look into getting a good Dyno tune or a "flip chip" where you can switch from like race gas to pump gas while using the same chip. I'd personally go with the Dyno tune myself though.8)

I'm just trying to research ways to boost my engine up a bit, really I wish I had a manual.

What is a dyno tune, exactly?

sounds like a high performance chip for your ECU that you can switch between regular tuning and race tuning?

I read the message differently... thought he was saying a dyno tune is different than a "flip chip".

A good dyno tune is the best option, and cheaper than getting a chip. What happens with a dyno tune is that they put your car down on a dyno, do a few pulls with it, and then fine tune and re-adjust the air/fuel ratio measurements so your car will perform to its absolute peak. I've never had it done though because I've never found a dynojet near me. But it's Dallas so there are some I'm sure that definitely do in fact exist here if I want to do a little asking around and go find one.
